Mustard Seed Faith

I wore this pin to church this morning.  A silver bow with lucite inclosing a mustard seed.  I have seen these mustard seed pendants described as 'Good Luck' jewelry.  Truly they are based on a Bible verse which states that if you have a mustard seed of faith nothing shall be impossible to you.  They were popular in the 1950's.

  1. I don't remember the actual story, but mustard seeds are tied in with some Buddhist stories too. I think it's cool when you can find similar ideas like that in things :)

  2. My Maw-Maw had some earrings like this. She is nearly a 100 years old now and passed them down to me. Actually she passed one of them down to me. lol. She called them ear bobs or ear screws. I am a Sunday School teacher and through the years I have taken that one earring and passed it around my group explaining the Bible verse that comes from and sharing a little about the faith my Maw Maw has! It was exciting to see your post.

  3. that's amazing!!!
I never heard of this jewelry but I love it!!!! I love how small the seed is but how huge the trees grow to be! It is really a great way to compare how our faith can grow and how nothing truly is impossible for God. He's amazing.
